On this page
The Spinaconda sportsbook sits inside the same account and wallet as the casino, so you can move from a slot session to an NHL game without transferring money. It covers more than 40 sports, from the leagues Canadians follow most to niche markets such as hurling, Gaelic football and snooker. There is no separate sports welcome bonus, but every bet counts toward the casino's VIP program.
Sports you can bet on
Ice hockey
NHL regular season and playoffs, plus international and European leagues.
Basketball
NBA, NCAA and major European competitions.
Football
NFL and CFL, including season-long and playoff markets.
Soccer
MLS, the Premier League, Champions League and international tournaments.
Baseball, tennis and combat sports
MLB, ATP and WTA tours, boxing and MMA cards.
Cricket and niche sports
Cricket, handball, snooker, hurling and Gaelic football, among 40+ sports.
Bet types
You will find the standard markets that Canadian bettors expect:
- Moneyline: pick the winner. In hockey this usually includes overtime and shootouts; check the market rules.
- Puck line, run line and point spread: handicap markets that even out favourites and underdogs.
- Totals (over/under): bet on combined goals, points or runs.
- Props: player and team markets such as goal scorers or total rebounds, where available.
- Parlays: combine several selections into one bet. Payouts grow quickly, and so does the chance of losing.
- Futures: season-long bets such as the Stanley Cup or Grey Cup winner.
How to place a bet
Open the sportsbook
Switch from the casino to the sportsbook from the main menu. Your balance carries over.
Pick a sport and event
Browse by sport and league, or use search to find a team.
Tap the odds
Each price you tap is added to your bet slip. Add several for a parlay.
Enter your stake and confirm
The slip shows your potential return before you place the bet. Confirm, and track it under your open bets.
Reading the odds
Odds are typically shown in decimal format, which is the easiest to read: multiply your stake by the odds to get your total return. A C$20 bet at 2.50 returns C$50 (C$30 profit plus your stake). Odds of 1.50 mean a favourite; 3.00 and above usually mean an underdog. If you are used to American odds, 2.50 decimal equals +150, and 1.50 equals −200. The odds also tell you the implied probability: divide 1 by the decimal odds, so 2.50 implies a 40% chance. Comparing that with your own estimate is the core of value betting.
Live betting
Many events can be bet in-play, with odds that update as the game unfolds. Live betting is fast and best suited to sports you know well. Odds can be suspended briefly after big moments such as goals or penalties, and a bet slip may be rejected if the price moves before you confirm.
One wallet, one account
Your casino and sportsbook share a single CAD balance. Deposits through Interac, cards, wallets or crypto are available for both, and withdrawals follow the same rules and the same C$80 minimum. Details are on the payments page.
Bonuses and VIP for sports bettors
Spinaconda's welcome package and reloads are casino offers; there is currently no dedicated sportsbook welcome bonus. Sports bets do, however, earn points toward the 11-level VIP program, so regular bettors still progress toward cashback, rank bonuses and higher withdrawal limits. If you claim a casino bonus, remember it has to be wagered on eligible casino games; sports bets do not clear it.
Single-event betting in Canada
Since August 2021, Canadian law has allowed single-event sports betting, which provinces can offer or license. Provincial platforms and, in Ontario, iGaming Ontario-registered operators are regulated under that framework. Spinaconda operates under a Tobique Gaming Commission licence and does not accept players located in Ontario. See Is Spinaconda legit? for what that means in practice.
Where the sportsbook falls short
- No sports-specific welcome offer or regular sports promotions.
- Fewer specialist tools (such as detailed stats centres or bet builders across every sport) than dedicated sportsbooks.
- Market depth on smaller leagues can be thinner than at big-name bookmakers.
For a casual bettor who mostly plays the casino and wants to back the Oilers or the Blue Jays now and then, it does the job well. Serious sports bettors will likely keep an account elsewhere for line shopping.
Smart betting habits
- Set a weekly sports budget separate from your casino budget.
- Avoid chasing losses with bigger parlays.
- Be cautious betting on teams you support; it is harder to stay objective.
- Use deposit and loss limits in your profile if live betting becomes a habit.
